Connecting, learning, and growing together: A recap of our 2024 patient-centered care events

This spring, we launched our first educational series, hosting six events across the UK to connect with healthcare professionals dedicated to advancing patient-centred transanal irrigation (TAI) care. Each event provided a unique opportunity to come together, share insights, and dive into important topics such as:

  • Motivational Skills
  • Psychological Readiness

The success of this year’s educational events is due in large part to the exceptional engagement and contributions of our delegates, as well as to our guest expert, Monica Lyons, who joined us at each event.  Their active participation and insightful feedback have been invaluable, offering fresh ideas and topics to explore in future sessions.

From the energy in the rooms to the feedback we’ve received, it’s clear these events have made a positive impact, and we’re excited to build on this momentum.

We’re incredibly proud of the data from these events, reflecting strong endorsement among healthcare professionals:

Motivational Skills (MS):

  • 100% of evaluations affirmed the relevance of motivational skills in initiating rectal irrigation, with 85% rating it as highly relevant.
  • 98% of attendees plan to apply MS in their clinical practice, indicating the immediate applicability of this skill.

Psychological Readiness (PR) as a Key Factor:

  • Every respondent (100%) noted the relevance of PR when initiating TAI, with 81% marking it as highly relevant.
  • 99% of attendees anticipated using PR in their practice, with 84% confident in its application and an additional 15% open to integrating it.

Decision Guide’s (DG) Practical Value:

  • 97% of attendees found the DG beneficial, with 76% rating it as extremely relevant in practice.
  • 82% plan to use the DG in clinical settings, with 15% considering it as a potential resource.

Additionally, an overwhelming 98% of attendees said they would recommend our educational events to others, showcasing strong support for our program.

At Qufora, your feedback is invaluable, and we’re committed to meeting your needs. Many of you have asked for more in-depth information on motivational skills and psychological readiness, and we’re excited to expand on these areas to help you enhance these essential skills in practice.

As we enter the last couple of months of 2024, we’re thrilled to announce that our educational events will return in 2025, reaching even more cities near you!
