A hands-on approach to bowel care: how our nurse team supports you every step of the way

We understand that managing a bowel routine is about more than just solutions – it’s about confidence, independence and ongoing support.

That’s why our dedicated nurse team is here to provide hands-on guidance tailored to each patient’s individual needs. With years of experience in bowel management, they work alongside healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Our nurses are your extra pair of hands, focusing on:

  • Initiating rectal irrigation and hands-on teaching
  • Helping patients get started with their system
  • Establishing and managing a routine for long-term success
  • Keeping healthcare professionals informed every step of the way

Jade’s story: Ongoing support that transformed her life

Jade is 33 and has chronic constipation. She uses Qufora to help alleviate her symptoms. She recently has had telephone support with our Qufora nurses and spoke to us about her experience:

“I cannot thank Qufora enough. I have regular phone calls with the nurses, where I can explain any problems I’m having. They listen, support, and reassure me. The best thing is being able to offload and talk about how my illness makes me feel—it’s helped my mental health as much as my physical health. The patient care is incredible. They make me feel on top of the world, and I look forward to those calls. I know I’m doing everything I can to make my life easier, and it’s true—I am making my life easier.”

Sarah’s Journey: From First Visit to Follow-Up

Along with our telephone calls, Qufora nurses can arrange home visits to patients who require in-person support.  Our nurse team takes a hands-on approach to patient care, and Sarah’s experience demonstrates just how impactful that can be:

Before the Home Visit:

“I’m just about to leave for a home visit with my Qufora IrriSedo Flow teaching pack. From my experience, when patients are introduced to the Flow system, they find it easy to use, and the results can be life-changing. It’s simple, effective, and builds confidence in managing their routine at home. I love seeing how it empowers people.”

After the Home Visit:

“I’ve just finished a home visit where I taught our patient how to use the Flow system, and they absolutely loved it. They were impressed with how they could regulate the water flow and appreciated the flexibility of both gravity and pump options. We set up the system together in their home, discussed the importance of a regular bowel routine, and scheduled a follow-up call to ensure they continue feeling confident moving forward. Getting this right can be a complete game changer for their quality of life.

Follow up care: We’re with you every step of the way

We believe in long-term success when it comes to your bowel management. Our nurses don’t just come to visit patients and leave, instead, we provide an extra follow-up call to answer any questions, check progress, and ensure confidence in managing a routine.

Our hands-on approach means better patient outcomes, more confidence, and a smoother journey to long-term bowel management.
